Monterey
The Monterey Peninsula…
The Monterey Peninsula and surrounding region offer a unique California experience. The Hyatt’s frequent shuttles to downtown Monterey will make it easy for you to discover an abundance of attractions, amenities and recreational opportunities.

Cannery Row…
Made famous by John Steinbeck’s novels, Cannery Row was comprised of working sardine canneries serving Monterey’s nearby fishing fleet. When the sardine population waned in the 1940s, the canneries closed. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is now the main attraction on Cannery Row. The shops, restaurants and hotels lining the row retain some of the original flavor of the old canneries.

Fisherman’s Wharf…
Here, you will find open fresh seafood markets and eateries in addition to a variety of curio shops, tour boats and fishing guides. A great place to people-watch and observe California sea lions and otters!

Other Attractions…
Regarded as the golf capital of the world, the Monterey Peninsula offers a selection of 29 exceptional courses. Excursions to the city of Carmel, touring and wine tasting through Steinbeck Country, and driving along the coastline through Big Sur and past dramatic seascapes, are a few of the fantastic things to see and do in Monterey.
